About this threat

Trojan.Nisloder is Trojan infection that could do a lot of harm if left undetected. They can spy on you, collect and transfer your personal information and login credentials, as well as download other malware onto your computer. The infection may be following you as your browse the Internet, logging into various services, collect all the necessary information about you and then transfer it to cyber crooks. Or it could bring about more serious infections, such as ransomware, which could lock all your files and demand that you pay to get them back.

Because Trojans don’t show obvious signs of being inside a computer, you need anti-malware software to detect it. If you had anti-malware active, it would detect the threat as soon as it enters the computer, before it can do any damage. Trojan spread methods

Trojans usually spread via email attachments, criminals using social engineering techniques to deceive users. Malware distributors may email you, pretending to be from some legitimate companies so that you feel at ease and don’t question the attachment. Those malicious emails tend to end up in the spam folder but because occasionally legitimate emails land there, users tend to check that folder. However, if an email with the sender claiming to be from supposedly Amazon ends up in spam, it’s probably not from Amazon and is actually hiding malware. Before you open any kind of attachment, always check that the sender is who they say they are. If they’re claiming to be from Amazon, check that the email address actually matches the one Amazon uses. And don’t press on weird links that someone sends you on social media. If a contact sends you a link you weren’t expecting, first inquire about it. The sender may not even realize their account has been hacked and they are sending out links to malware.
