About this extension
Julnew is a malicious Google Chrome extension that will force its installation onto you. If you have this extension, you were probably redirected to julnew.com, where a pop-up appeared, asking you to install it. Whatever you clicked on, the extension installed anyway, which is why you might be seeing so many advertisements on your computer.
This is not exactly a very serious infection, though it could lead to one so you need to get rid of it right away. It will generate huge amounts of ads to show you because it aims to make revenue. The thing about these kinds of infections is that they do not differentiate between safe and malicious sites, which means you could be redirected to a dangerous one, and end up with a more serious infection. Remove Julnew Chrome Extension as soon as possible.
How to prevent this kind of threat?
You probably got redirected to the site promoting this extension from some shady websites. When you are in the type of situation when a pop-up is suddenly asking you to install something, do not press on it, not even ‘Cancel’. Whatever you press on, it could trigger the extension to download onto your computer. What you should do instead is close your tab/browser, and if that is not possible, access Task Manager, look for the browser’s process and end it. It’s also worth checking your computer for adware because it could have redirected you to that site, which means it may do it again, and you may have to end up having to uninstall Julnew Chrome Extension or similar again.
What does the extension do?
As soon as the extension is added, you will start seeing weird ads on your Google Chrome browser. It’s a Google Chrome extension so other browsers will not be affected, but it’s not recommended that you just switch the browser to another one. Do not delay, and delete Julnew Chrome Extension as soon as possible. Until you do, you will constantly get strange adverts and get redirected to weird sites. This will make your computer sluggish, and cause your browser to crash constantly. Avoid clicking on the appearing adverts, and close pop-ups as soon as they show up. These kinds of infections aim to make you either download dubious software, or to make revenue from adverts. Either way, you get nothing beneficial from it. It could even be able to lead you to much more malicious infections, and that could have very serious consequences. Just remove Julnew Chrome Extension.
