Terraclicks Removal Guide (Uninstall Terraclicks)
Terraclicks is an advertising platform used by different ad-supported programs to promote their sponsors. If you see adverts labeled “Powered by Terraclicks”, “Ads by Terraclicks”, and similar, it means that you have an adware in your system.
The adware is usually compatible with all most commonly used web browsers, which means that you will not be able to avoid it symptoms no matter which one of them you use. It is possible that you do not know which application is the reason you see the advertising content, because oftentimes this type of programs get installed without the user’s notice. If you want to delete Terraclicks from your browsers, you will have to uninstall the application generating them.
As it has already been mentioned, it is rather possible that you installed the ad-supported program unwittingly. Adware often uses the bundling distribution method, which means that it travels in freeware and shareware bundles. When you install free software, you are usually presented with optional offers. These offers can be declined, however, if you do not pay attention to the installation process and choose the Basic or Recommended mode, you agree to all additional offers automatically. That is not something that you should do. Next time you deal with freeware, make sure that you choose the Advanced mode and deselect all unwanted components from the wizard.
The main symptom of any advertising-supported application is that it floods your browsers with different types of ads. You will see pop-ups, in-text ads, coupons, banners, and other adverts no matter where you go online. You may also get redirected to unfamiliar domains at random. What you should keep in mind is that the commercial content brought to you is not endorsed by the software, so it could be misleading or completely fake. You should avoid clicking on it, if you do not wish to deal with such unwanted consequences as malware infection, money losses, and so on. In order to make sure that none of that actually happens, you need to terminate Terraclicks.
