About this infection

TelevisionAce Toolbar is a browser add-on that is also considered to be a potentially unwanted program (PUP). If you find it installed but have no recollection of ever allowing it to do so, then it could have been added to freeware that you installed, and you didn’t notice. You could have also chosen to install it yourself from the official website but the former installation method is a bit more likely.

TelevisionAce Toolbar

It’s not a malicious computer infection, although we do not recommend keeping it. It will make changes to your browser, set its promoted site as your homepage and new tabs. It could then try to redirect you using the search engine. While this hijacker might not necessarily do this, some are able to lead users to dangerous sites where malware could be waiting. In the end, it is up to you if you delete TelevisionAce Toolbar, but we recommend you do.

Should you uninstall TelevisionAce Toolbar?

When this extension installs, it will immediately change your browser’s settings. A different page will load instead of the one that usually greets you when you launch your browser. The changes carried out to your browser will be irreversible unless you first remove TelevisionAce Toolbar. The extension itself is targeting TV watchers as it provides shortcuts to streaming services. It is attachable to most browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox but is not provided in any of their official stores. The websites does not look malicious, and it’s not, but you should look into its Privacy Policy before you use it. And the search engine may be inserting advertisement content among the legitimate results so be careful not to press on them. They will lead to unrelated or even unreliable sites. Some could even lead you to a serious malware infection. You should consider TelevisionAce Toolbar removal.

If you do not recall even installing the PUP yourself, it could have been added to freeware as an additional offer. A lot of unwanted programs do this because users still carelessly install programs. When you are installing something, you need to use Advanced or Custom settings because only there will you be able see if anything has been added, and if there has, deselect it. Make sure you uncheck every single offer that appears there because any extension that uses such a sneaky method to install does not belong on your computer. Whichever way you installed it, we recommend you delete  TelevisionAce Toolbar.

TelevisionAce Toolbar removal

If you do not have much experience when it comes erasing programs, it may be a good idea to obtain anti-spyware software and have it uninstall TelevisionAce Toolbar for you. It is possible to remove TelevisionAce Toolbar manually but you may struggle with finding its location.
