Eurofiber France SAS, the French subsidiary of the Dutch infrastructure provider Eurofiber Group N.V., has disclosed a breach in its ticket management system that affected its customer-facing and business support platforms. According to the company, the incident occurred late last week when an unauthorized actor exploited a vulnerability, accessed the ATE portal and related support tools, and exfiltrated data.
The company said the attack impacted its French operations and related brands, including Eurafibre, FullSave, Netiwan, and Avelia. The Dutch parent emphasised that the breach did not affect its Dutch or Belgian operations. Upon discovery, Eurofiber France immediately placed the affected ticket and portal systems under enhanced security and patched the vulnerability. The company also notified French authorities, including the data protection watchdog Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) and the national cybersecurity agency Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d’information (ANSSI).
Although the company said banking details and other “critical data” stored elsewhere were not affected, it did not specify exactly which types of information were stolen or how many customers were impacted. Meanwhile, a threat actor using the alias “ByteToBreach” posted on a dark web forum claiming to have obtained internal data belonging to more than 10,000 businesses and government entities serviced by Eurofiber France. The materials allegedly include backups, configuration files, credential sets, and cloud archive contents.
As a former provider of fibre optic connectivity and digital infrastructure, Eurofiber France supports enterprise and wholesale customers rather than typical retail consumers. The potential exposure of internal service management or ticketing data raises concerns because these systems often contain technical details such as device inventories, network configuration, and credentials for customer networks. One security analysis notes that the breach could extend into a downstream supply chain risk for organisations connected via Eurofiber’s infrastructure.
While investigations continue, Eurofiber France has begun a review process of the affected systems and has taken the initial key steps of patching the vulnerability and notifying regulators. The firm said it will communicate further updates to clients as the assessment progresses.
