NordVPN has said its systems remain secure following online claims that its infrastructure had been breached. The company stated that the allegations are false and that its internal review found no evidence of unauthorised access to its systems or exposure of user data.
In a public statement, NordVPN’s parent company, Nord Security, said it became aware of claims posted on an online forum alleging access to a development environment. The company said it investigated the claims and confirmed that neither its production systems nor its development infrastructure had been compromised.
Nord Security said the data referenced in the online post did not originate from its systems and that no customer information was affected. The company added that its security teams continuously monitor its infrastructure and found no indicators of a breach linked to the claims.
A company spokesperson said NordVPN continues to operate normally and that its security controls remain in place. The statement reiterated that NordVPN does not log user activity and that its core privacy and security architecture was not impacted by the allegations.
The claims circulated on social platforms and breach forums earlier this month, prompting questions from some users about the safety of the service. Nord Security said it issued its response to address those concerns and to clarify that there was no ongoing or past incident related to the allegations.
The company said it regularly conducts internal security assessments and works with external auditors to review its systems. It added that any confirmed security incidents would be disclosed in line with its transparency practices.
NordVPN said it will continue to monitor for misinformation and potential threats, but stressed that the recent breach claims were unfounded.
