YouTube is experiencing a widespread outage that is preventing many users from watching videos, with reports of playback errors and content failing to load across multiple regions. Users attempting to access the platform are encountering error messages on both the website and mobile apps, indicating that the disruption is not limited to a single device type or location.

Reports submitted to outage monitoring services show a sharp increase in complaints within a short period, suggesting a global issue rather than isolated connectivity problems. Users in Europe, North America, and other parts of the world are reporting similar issues, including videos not starting, pages failing to load, and interruptions to live streams.

Google, which owns YouTube, has not yet released a detailed public statement explaining the cause of the outage. Technical teams are understood to be investigating the issue as the disruption continues. Other services that rely on shared infrastructure appear to be affected intermittently, though the primary impact remains concentrated on YouTube’s core video platform.

YouTube has one of the largest active user bases of any online service, and the ongoing outage is affecting viewers, content creators, and advertisers in real time. Creators are reporting difficulties uploading or managing content, while viewers are unable to access scheduled videos and live broadcasts.

Service interruptions of this scale typically stem from backend infrastructure issues or configuration problems and are resolved once engineers identify and address the underlying fault. As of now, the outage is ongoing, and users continue to report problems accessing videos while restoration efforts are underway.
