How to remove InetStat

InetStat is potentially unwanted program that is advertised as a tool that can allow you to check your Internet connection speed. Its official page, interstat.eu, claims that the utility can calculate your download and upload speed. Oddly enough, as you may have already noticed, the name of the installed program and the name that is presented on its official page differ.

More than that, the suspicious application is signed by Astori LLC, which is a Russian software publisher, however, the ads that the application displays in your browsers are linked to German advertising. We do not recommend keeping this unreliable software on your PC as it does not follow through on its promises. You should delete InetStat without hesitation.

How does InetStat work?

InetStat does not function the way it is supposed to. The program automatically starts every time you turn on your computer, silently opens Google Chrome and Internet Explorer windows and clicks on various advertisements. This activity is called click-fraud and it is illegal. By clicking on various adverts the application generates web traffic and makes profit for its developers along the way. Because of these unwanted actions, you will notice that your computer speed has considerably decreased. There is no question that you should get rid of InetStat as soon as you can.

Unfortunately, InetStat may not be the only program that you need to delete from your PC. Potentially unwanted and ad-supported applications tend to travel in freeware and shareware bundles. This means that together with InetStat, you may have also installed other useless applications. It has been in particularly linked to FabulousDiscounts, DolphinDeals, Plus-HD, and some other unwanted software. If any of these programs are present in your system, you need to terminate them as well.
