Remove Bing Search Redirect

About this redirect virus

Bing Search is a legitimate search engine that many browser hijackers like to use to make income. Hijackers are these low-level infections that change browser’s settings without permission and try to redirect users to sponsored websites.

If you are not using Bing as your search engine or homepage, and suddenly it’s loading all the time, you probably have a browser hijacker on your hands. Hijackers are not dangerous infections, although they are annoying. Having said that, hijackers are able to lead users to dangerous websites, where malware could be lurking. Which is why you need to delete Bing Search Redirect if you see it installed. And be more careful about how you install programs onto your computer because via some freeware, you could install a hijacker.

How do hijackers invade computers?

Browser hijackers are added to freeware as extra offers and in order to prevent them from installing alongside, you need to deselect them. This can be done pretty easily. All you need to do is choose Advanced or Custom settings during freeware installation, and uncheck all the items that appear there. Make sure that you always deselect everything because if those items did not inform you about their installation, they do not belong on your computer. And if you want to avoid having to remove Bing Search Redirect or similar, always use Advanced.

Why uninstall Bing Search Redirect?

Hijackers change browser’s settings usually as soon as they install. They can affect most of the leading browsers, whether it’s Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Their settings will be changed without permission, and will be irreversible unless you first delete Bing Search Redirect. Certain hijackers either set Bing as your homepage, new tabs and search engine, or they set a weird site as the homepage/new tabs and provide a Bing search engine. In the case of the latter, it does not really make much sense to use a third-party website to access Bing when you can go there directly. While Bing is completely legitimate, hijackers have no right to force it on you. If you did not set it yourself, no reason why you should put up with it. Hijackers will use Bing in order to make ad revenue, and you may be redirected. This is quite annoying to deal with because your browsing will be interrupted. And some hijackers can lead users to malicious sites with malware on them, which could then download onto your computer. Remove Bing Search Redirect.
