Remove BizarreHall

About this infection

BizarreHall is a browser hijacker, promoted as a useful extension that will help you find the most relevant content. It’s classified as a hijacker for a couple of reasons. For one, it sneaks into computers unannounced when users are installing certain freeware. It also exposes users to sponsored content, which could, potentially, result in a much more serious infection.

The extension is available on the Google Chrome store but that does not mean it’s reliable. It if you install, or if it sneaks into your computer, you will start seeing much more adverts than usual. It wants to generate pay-per-click revenue and in order to do that it needs to redirect you as much as possible. It does not provide anything useful so there is no need to keep it. Remove BizarreHall.

How did a hijacker end up on my computer?

Browser hijackers are added to freeware as additional offers and all you need to do to avoid them is deselect them during freeware installation. This can be done in Advanced or Custom settings, and you just need to uncheck a few boxes. Only after you have done this, should you continue installing the freeware. We do not recommend using Default settings because they will not show you anything and you will end up having to delete BizarreHall and similar over and over again. If you want to keep a secure computer, always pay attention to what you install onto it and how you do it.

Why uninstall BizarreHall?

If the hijacker installs, it will change your browser’s settings and try to redirect you to sponsored web pages. This extension only seems to be available on Google Chrome so other browsers should be okay. Nevertheless, that does not mean you should just ignore the issue and switch to another browser. Until you remove BizarreHall, the hijacker will keep showing you advertisement content and you will constantly be redirected. The hijacker is promoted as a useful extension but it really does not provide anything beneficial. It claims to find you relevant content but all it will do is show you adverts. Refrain from engaging with any ads or sponsored content while the hijacker is installed because you could be exposing your system to something malicious. It does not matter to a hijacker whether you are led to a malicious site or not, so be vigilant. And delete BizarreHall as soon as possible.

BizarreHall removal

If you choose to uninstall BizarreHall, you can do so in two ways. We would recommend automatic BizarreHall removal because the anti-spyware software of your choice would do everything for you. If you go with manual elimination, you will have to find where the hijacker is hiding yourself, which may be more time consuming that you think.
