Coronaborealis Removal Tips (Delete Coronaborealis)

Coronaborealis is an ad-supported program that is practically identical to Capricornus and Canopus adware. It does not have an official page, where it could be downloaded. This means that the application travels in free software bundles. It is possible that you installed it accidentally.

The adware is compatible with all web browsers, so it does not matter which one of them you use, you will still be exposed to various commercials labeled “Coronaborealis Ads”, “Powered by Coronaborealis”, and similar. We suggest that you eliminate these advertisements from your browsers as soon as you can. In order to do that, you will have to delete Coronaborealis from your computer.

How does Coronaborealis work?

As it has already been mentioned, the adware usually gets installed onto a computer with the help of free downloads. When you install free software, you get presented with various optional offers. If you do not notice these offers, potentially unwanted programs get installed automatically. Since these programs are usually completely useless, we advise that you try to avoid them in the future. In order to do that you should choose Advanced or Custom installation mode whenever you can and deselect all unfamiliar components that are not essential for the setup.

Unlike most ad-supported programs, Coronaborealis does not use a browser extension to insert the adverts into your visited pages. Instead, it replaces the dnsapi.dll, which is a system file. This allows the software to connect to a remote server and generate the commercials. Unfortunately, the ads that it injects into your browsers are not all reliable. Some of them are completely fake and they may lead you to corrupted pages. Landing on these sites could result in various unwanted outcomes including malware infections, personal data disclosure, financial losses, and more. It would be best to terminate Coronaborealis and thus get rid of the unsafe commercials.
