Remove Deskapp

What is Deskapp?

Deskapp is an adware application that must have entered your computer together with free software. Ad-supported programs usually come together with free software and are attached in a way that allows them to install alongside. You can prevent these installations but you first need to be aware that something is attached and most users are not. Adware is not malicious so there is no need to be too alarmed if you notice an increased amount of ads appearing on your screen. Some users might even think it is a computer virus creating all those ads but that is not the case. Adware is not considered to be malware but that does not mean it will be harmless. It aims to expose you to as many ads as possible so that it could generate income. You might even encounter malicious content, which could lead to a serious malware infection. Be careful and delete Deskapp.

How does Deskapp spread?

Adware uses free software to spread because no one would install adware knowing what it is. It is attached and set to install alongside the software but you can prevent it. You need to use Advanced or Custom settings during freeware installation because you will be given the choice of deselecting what has been added. All you have to do is uncheck a couple of boxes and you can proceed to install the freeware. Rushing through the installation processes in Default settings will get you nowhere so be attentive, unless you want to end up having to remove Deskapp or similar again.

What does Deskapp do?

Adware will take over all your browsers and start showing you various ads. It will happen on all browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox so switching browsers will not solve the problem. They only way to get rid of the ads would be to uninstall Deskapp adware. You will see all kinds of advertisements, from banners to pop-ups and we suggest you do not engage with them. Adware aims to make income by exposing you to ads but it does not make sure that they are safe. You could be exposed to malicious content and it could lead to a serious malware infection. If a pop-up offers you to download some king of software, do not do it. If you are in need of a program, use reliable sources and not some random ad. Otherwise, you are risking downloading some kind of virus onto your computer. Those great deals you are seeing might not even exist and are just a ploy to lure you into clicking on them. In general, adware slows down your computer and makes your browser crash much more often. If you do not want to experience these aggravating interruptions, we suggest you delete Deskapp.
