Istart123.com Removal Tips

Istart123.com is a browser hijacker that can change your home page and default search provider in all of your Internet browsers. It is similar to such programs as Websearches.com, Omiga-plus.com, V9.com, and some others. The hijacker not only alters your browser settings, but it also modifies your browser shortcuts in order to make it that much more difficult for you to uninstall Istart123.com.

The thing is, however, that is exactly what you should do, because there is no point in keeping it installed. The unwanted program makes unnecessary modifications that do not benefit the user in any way. We suggest that you terminate Istart123.com without hesitation.

How does Istart123.com work?

Istart123.com claims to be a “global internet company with the goal of delivering leading edge information search solutions coupled with quality customer support.” That would be great, if it were actually true. In reality, however, the supposed search engine simply shows you Google search results. There is no need for you to deal with the hijacker in order to search the Web with Google. Moreover, if the application was indeed so useful, it would have its own official website, where it could be downloaded. Again, that is not the case as the hijacker gets distributed with the help of freeware and shareware bundles.

Once in the system, the hijacker changes your home page and default search engine to Istart123.com. The website itself contains a search box and quick access links to various online shopping and gaming related sites. The hijacker also installs extensions to all of your browsers called SupTab and QuickStart (or FastStart). These extensions alter your new tab page. After hijacker’s arrival you are also bound to notice an increase in commercial data presented in your browsers. We advise that you stay away from it as there is no way to be sure of its safety. If you want to improve your online security level, you should not hesitate to delete Istart123.com.

How to remove Istart123.com?

You can eliminate Istart123.com from your browsers manually or automatically. If you choose manual Istart123.com removal, you will have to launch the hijacker’s uninstaller via Control Panel and then restore your browser settings. You will also need to fix your Target line, which you can do by right-clicking on the browser shortcut, selecting Properties (Shortcut tab) and erasing all text that comes after iexplore.exe/firefox.exe/chrome.exe. Alternative solution is to remove Istart123.com automatically. To do that you will have to implement an anti-malware utility (you can use the one presented on our page). The malware remover will scan your PC, detect all of its issues and delete Istart123.com without any difficulty.
