Remove KOOL Player Adware

About this infection

KOOL Player is an adware program that will fill your screen with adverts. It’s not the most dangerous infection out there but it may be the most annoying. It will fill your screen with ads constantly, most of them will come in coupon forms, which might tempt you to click on them. However, it’s not recommended to engage with adware generated ads at all. There are no guarantees that the coupons are real or that the ads are safe.

Some might expose you to unreliable content, and worst case scenario, could lead to serious malware infections. These kinds of infections mainly aim to make income so the more you engage with the ads, the more money is made. And in order to make you interact with them more, more personalized ads need to be generated. Thus, the adware will follow your Internet activity and gather data about what you would be more interested in. Which is why you should delete KOOL Player Adware. The adware was able to enter your computer most likely via freeware bundles, that’s a popular method among unwanted program developers. It’s not difficult to prevent these unwanted installations, but you may not know how. The following paragraph will explain.

What does it do?

Since a lot of free programs come with additional items, it’s important that you pay attention to how you install programs. Read the information provided, follow the installation process carefully and pick Advanced (Custom) settings if possible. Default settings may not inform you of any extra offers so if you stick to those settings, you’ll be allowing unwanted programs to install. Adware will be irritating and somewhat complex to deal with so you would save a lot of time by preventing the infection in the first place. Always be careful about what programs you install and how you do it. While you won’t pick up a serious infection this way, those minor ones that you can get may lead to more severe threats.

Why remove KOOL Player Adware?

As soon as it installs, you will start noticing various ads appearing everywhere, even on websites that did not show adverts before. They might appear on all popular browsers you have installed, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. And there’s not much you can do to avoid the ads, they will most certainly interrupt your browsing. You will encounter the ads in various forms, from banners to pop-ups, some offering program downloads, some coupons, while others could be tech-support scams. Because adware generated advertisements are not necessarily secure, it would not be wise to engage with them. If you are offered to download a program, close the pop-up. Ads are not trustworthy sources for downloads, you could end up with a malware infection. If you need to download something, use only official/legitimate websites. When it comes to coupons, always be skeptical. If the deal offered is too good to be true, it probably is. It could be a fake coupon leading to scam websites. And if you encounter a warning pop-up in your browser about some kind of issue with your computer or an infection, you’re likely seeing a tech-support scam. Do not call the provided number as there is nothing wrong with your device, and you might be scammed out of a lot of money.
