Remove Kyubey

What is Kyubey?

Kyubey is the adware program to blame for the increased amount of advertisements you are seeing. Adware is not malicious and merely aims to generate income by exposing you to ads. That does not mean it should stay on your computer, however. It is not harmless and will irritate you to no end with constant ads. It should also be noted that while adware is not a serious infection, it can still expose you to danger.

You may click on the wrong ad or download something an ad suggest and end up with serious malware on your computer. The reason you even have adware on your system is because you did not pay enough attention to how you installed free software. Unwanted programs, such as adware, are usually attached to free software and install alongside it. You need to remove Kyubey if you want to go back to normal browsing.

How does Kyubey spread?

The reason you have adware on your computer is because it was bundled together with free software and you did not notice. When you install free software, you need to always use Advanced or Custom settings. Only there will you be able to see what has been added. You will be given a list of bundled items and it is recommended that you deselect all of them. Just uncheck the boxes and you can proceed to install the software. Do not rush through installation processes in Default settings because you will end up having to uninstall Kyubey or something similar again.

What does Kyubey do?

Users who are not familiar with adware might become alarmed when ads start appearing in all leading browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. You can try to not pay any attention to the ads but the only way they will disappear is if you delete Kyubey from the system. The main purpose of an advertising-supported program is exposing you to as many ads as possible because that is how it generates income. You may see great offers or coupons, or be encouraged to update/download some kind of software. Those ads might not always be safe, as adware does not filter through them to make sure they are not harmful. If you are offered to download a program, do not do it. If you need some kind of software, obtain it via official/legitimate web pages and not questionable pop-ups. You should also stay away from the surveys because the people behind it aim to get your personal information. Never give out your sensitive data, even if you are promised a prize for it. Delete Kyubey.
