Remove Lucky Search

About Lucky Search

Lucky Search is your typical browser hijacker that appears on your computer without your explicit permission. If you are confused about how it managed to enter your computer, we can assure that it did not use some complex method. It was merely attached to free software that you installed, and you did not notice it. If attached items go unseen, they are authorized to install. And without you even noticing.

Thankfully, hijackers are not malicious. However, they can sometimes expose you to dangerous content. Lucky Search might not necessarily do this but it is better to be safe than sorry. And anyway, the hijacker will not provide anything useful. It will make unwanted changes to your browser, set Lucky Search as your homepage and possibly collect information about your browsing habits. Even if it does not endanger your computer by itself, we recommend you remove Lucky Search as soon as you notice it.

Should you uninstall Lucky Search?

Lucky Search will appear in your browser every time you open it. This will happen to all leading browsers installed on your computer and that includes Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. As soon as you notice this happening, locate and delete Lucky Search. If you do not do this, you will be stuck with Lucky Search as your homepage and new tabs. The provided search engine is supposedly aimed at users who want to find good deals when shopping but all it does is redirect you to Yahoo Search. If you need to use Yahoo Search, you can go there directly, there is no need to use some weird page that entered your computer without your permission. Also, it may be monitoring your browsing activities and collecting data relating to your browsing habits. This data could then be sold to third parties who would use it for advertisement purposes. There really is no need to keep this hijacker on your computer as it will not bring anything useful to you. Remove Lucky Search and you can return to regular browsing.

Many users are wondering how hijackers even manage to enter computers and it really is rather simple. They are attached to free programs you obtain from the Internet and are set to install alongside. In order to prevent them from installing, you need to use Advanced or Custom settings and manually deselect them. All you have to do is uncheck those boxes that appear in Advanced settings and once that is done, you can proceed with free software installation. Always use those settings because otherwise, you will be stuck with having to uninstall Lucky Search and similar all the time.
