Paycrypt Virus Removal Guide (Uninstall Paycrypt Virus)

Paycrypt Virus is a relatively new ransomware infection. It can infiltrate your computer with the help of Trojans and other malware. One Trojan that is known to distribute this parasite is called Trojan.Ransomcrypt.L. Once the ransomware gets installed, it scans your computer for data files and encrypts found documents, photos, videos, and other types of files. It also disables your security tools including your Windows Firewall.

After the virus-encoder finishes the encryption process, it presents you with a ransom note. It demands that you contact the creators of the malicious application, who will then provide you with instructions on how to essentially buy your files back. We urge you not to contact the cyber crooks and, instead, terminate Paycrypt Virus as soon as possible.

How does Paycrypt Virus work?

You may get infected by Trojan.Ransomcrypt.L through spam email attachments, corrupted webpages, fake ads, malign links, and so on. That is why it is so important to stay alert while browsing the Web. You should never download suspicious files and programs onto your PC or click on unreliable ads and links. After the malware infiltrates your system, it starts encrypting your files and once it is done, it presents you with the following message:

“Attention! Your computer has been attacked by a virus-encoder! All you files are now encrypted using cryptographically strong algorithm. Without the original key recovery is impossible. To get the decoder and the original key, you need to email as at paycrypt@aol.com (alternative email is paycrypt@india.com).”

As we have already mentioned, contacting the cyber criminals is not the best idea. They will ask you to pay a certain sum of money for your files. The price may be negotiable, however, it will most likely have to be paid in Bitcoins. There are no guarantees when dealing with cyber crooks, which is why we advise against wasting your money. You cannot be certain that paying them will get you your files back. Instead, we suggest that you go with a different solution. You should delete Paycrypt Virus from your computer without further delay and try other ways of recovering your data.

How to remove Paycrypt Virus?

Before you try decrypting your files, you should eliminate Paycrypt Virus from your computer in its entirety. Manual removal is not possible in this case. In order to erase Paycrypt Virus, you will have to implement a powerful anti-malware utility. It will scan your PC, detect all issues, and remove Paycrypt Virus along with them. In addition to that, it will also provide you with real-time online protection, so that you never have to deal with malicious programs again. After you delete Paycrypt Virus, you will be able to focus on restoring your files. You can recover them from backup. If do not have one, you can try using ransomware decryptors available online or the System Restore feature.
