About RadioFanaticSearch

RadioFanaticSearch is a browser hijacker that likely got into your operating system through freeware bundles. The infection was most likely attached to a freeware as an additional offer, and since you did not untick it, it was authorized to install. It is essential that you are vigilant during software installation because otherwise, these kinds of infections will install all the time. This is not a severe threat but because of its unwanted behavior, you will want to get rid of it right away.

You will notice that instead of the usual homepage and new tabs, your browser will now load a different page. Your search engine will also be changed, and it might inject advertisement links into results. You’ll be rerouted to sponsored sites so that web page owners can make profit from boosted traffic. Some people end up with malware through these kinds of redirects because some redirect viruses are able to redirect to malware-ridden web pages. And you do not want to have to deal with malware as it would be a much more severe. So that users see them as beneficial, hijackers attempt to seem very useful but the reality is, you could easily replace them with reliable extensions which wouldn’t reroute you. You will not necessarily see this but hijackers are tracking your browsing and collecting data so that more personalized sponsored content may be created. In addition, unrelated third-parties might be given access to that data. If you want to avoid it affecting your OS further, you ought to promptly terminate RadioFanaticSearch.

What you need to know about these infections

You may see hijackers attached to free software as added offers. Since they’re pretty invasive and annoying infections, we highly doubt you got it knowingly. This method is effective because users are likely to rush installations, not reading anything, and in general just being pretty careless when installing programs. In order t0 stop their installation, they must be deselected, but since they’re hidden, you may not see them by rushing the process. By choosing Default mode, you might be allowing all kinds of unwanted items to install, so it would be best if you opted out of using them. Advanced (Custom) settings, on the other hand, will make the items visible. Unmarking all the items would be the best choice, unless you want to have to deal with unwanted installations. Just uncheck the offers that become visible, and you can then continue installing the free application. Dealing with these infections can be annoying so you would do yourself a great favor by initially preventing them. Additionally, you need to be more careful about where you get your software from as unreliable sources could lead to malware infections.

If a browser hijacker manages to install, it’s doubtful you will not see the clues. Your home website, new tabs and search engine would be set to a different web page without your explicit consent, and that is very difficult to miss. Popular browsers like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox will likely be affected. The website will load every time you launch your browser, and this will continue until you remove RadioFanaticSearch from your device. You might attempt to overrule the modifications but keep in mind that the redirect virus will merely change everything again. There is also a possibility that your search engine will be changed, which would mean that every time you use the browser’s address bar to search for something, results would be generated not from the search engine you set but from the hijacker’s advertised one. Be careful of sponsored links injected among the results since you might be rerouted. These types of threats intend to boost traffic for certain pages so that more profit from advertisements is earned. With more visitors, it’s more likely that the adverts will be engaged with, which makes money. If you press on those sites, you will quickly notice that they have nothing to do with what you were searching for. Some might seem valid, for example, if you were to make an inquiry for ‘anti-malware’, you could get results for web pages endorsing questionable products but they might look completely legitimate in the beginning. You could even end up on web pages that have malicious software on them. Hijackers are also keen on learning your Internet usage, so it might be monitoring your browsing. Some hijackers give access to the info to third-parties, and it is used adverts purposes. Or the redirect virus may use it to make sponsored results that are more personalized. We advise you to uninstall RadioFanaticSearch as it rather worthless to you. Since there will be nothing stopping you, after you complete the process, make sure you change your browser’s settings.

RadioFanaticSearch termination

While the threat isn’t as severe as some others, we still advise that you uninstall RadioFanaticSearch as soon as possible. Depending on how computer-savvy you are, you can pick either manual and automatic way to rid the hijacker from your system. If you opt to proceed with the former, you will have to locate where the infection is hiding yourself. If you’re not sure what to do, scroll down to the instructions. They should give the guidance you need to take care of the contamination, so ensure you follow them accordingly. If the guidelines are not clear, or if you are otherwise struggling with the process, consider opting for the other method. The other alternative is to obtain spyware removal software and have do everything for you. These types of programs are created with the intention of wiping out threats such as this, so there should be no problems. You can check if the threat was deleted by changing your browser’s settings in some way, if the settings are as you’ve set them, you were successful. The browser hijacker remains if what you alter in settings is nullified. If you do not want this to happen again, install software correctly. If you have good computer habits now, you will be thankful later.
