Remove RightSurf

What is RightSurf?

RightSurf is adware most users do not notice. It usually installs along with freeware and unless you use Advanced settings, you will not be aware of it installing. The thing about adware is that it works silently, therefore most users are not aware of the infection. RightSurf will give you pop-ups with various shopping deal and coupons.

It might seem like a useful application for those who like shopping but in reality, it just wants to redirect you to certain websites. And it does that using ads. RightSurf is not malicious in a sense that it will not delete or alter any of your files. All it really does it redirect you to sponsored websites. The thing about those redirects is that you could end up on dangerous domains and download malware onto your computer. It has no use to you, so we think you should delete RightSurf from your computer.

How does RightSurf spread?

Adware usually spreads via freeware. It’s attached to certain free software and installs automatically along with the freeware, if not detected. If you want to avoid installing unwanted items, make sure to use Advanced or Custom settings during the installation process. If you do, you will clearly see what is attached. You don’t need to install those added items if you don’t want to. Default settings do not give you that option, the added items will automatically install. If it managed to install onto your computer, remove RightSurf.

Why should I uninstall RightSurf?

If it installs onto your computer, RightSurf will start showing you loads of ads in various forms. Those ads might be very tempting and there is a reason for that. Adware is known for collecting certain information about users. IP addresses, search and browser histories, bookmarks, etc., will be visible to adware. It might not be sensitive information but it can still be used. Adware uses that information to make ads specifically for you. That way, there are more chances that you will click on an ad. If you do click on one of those ads, you might end up on a website that has nothing to do with what the ad advertised. Worst case scenario, the ad will lead you to a dangerous website and you will download serious malware. Do not hesitate to delete RightSurf from your computer because it’s not useful to you at all.

RightSurf removal

We suggest you uninstall RightSurf using anti-malware software. If you try to erase RightSurf by hand, you might not take care of RightSurf removal completely. It might seem like it’s not on your computer, but pop-ups could still appear. Make sure you remove RightSurf fully.
