What is Search.ydserp.com?

Search.ydserp.com is a dubious search engine and a browser hijacker. It can infect your computer if you download and install freeware, and it has Search.ydserp.com attached to it. It will make unnecessary changes to your browser and redirect you to sponsored websites. Redirects are the main purpose of a browser hijacker. If you have already encountered Search.ydserp.com you might disagree, but Search.ydserp.com is not a malicious computer virus. It will not directly harm your computer but it can expose you to some dangerous websites. Which is one of the reasons why you should not allow Search.ydserp.com to remain your computer. Why should I delete Search.ydserp.com?

The reason why Search.ydserp.com is on your computer is because you recently installed freeware and it had Search.ydserp.com attached to it. If you use Default settings, you will not notice it being there. We don’t recommend using those settings at all because you could end up installing all sorts of unwanted items. What you should do is use Advanced (Custom) settings and you will have no problems with unwanted installations. Those settings allow you to view all added items and if you want, you can deselect them. It takes only a couple of seconds and will save you loads of time and nerves in the future because you will not have to remove Search.ydserp.com or similar unwanted applications.

Search.ydserp.com will make unwanted changes to your browser and set its domain as your homepage, new tabs and search engine. It will not ask to make these changes and it prevents you from resetting the settings. So if you want to change your homepage, you’d need to first uninstall Search.ydserp.com from your computer. It’s able to hijack all major browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Safari so it doesn’t matter which browser you use. The website might seem useful, as it has a nice background picture, links to websites like Facebook, YouTube and Yahoo and a search bar. The search engine inserts loads of sponsored websites into the results so you might end up on totally unrelated websites. It will try to fool you into thinking that you are using Yahoo, but in the address bar, it clearly says Search.ydserp.com. Anyway, we suggest you do not click on any results generated by Search.ydserp.com because you could end up with malware. Delete Search.ydserp.com.
