Remove SearchPage.com

About SearchPage.com

SearchPage.com is a suspicious search engine that does not seem to work. It seems to be similar to lookupopinion.com in the way that, as a search engine, it’s completely useless. You most likely got it when you installed some free software from the Internet and it came as an additional item. Seeing as the search engine does not work, we don’t see a reason why you should keep it and suggest you delete SearchPage.com from your computer.

How did I get SearchPage.com

The way such applications and items spread is mostly via the ‘bundling’ method. It’s bundled together with certain software you download from the Internet. This is a very popular method among developers as users still do not seem to learn that they need to use Advanced settings when installing something. Using Advanced (Custom) settings when installing software from the Internet lets you see what additional items are being installed along with the software. If you go by Default settings, you are likely to install somethings you don’t want or need as Default settings do not show additional items that come with the software. If you did end up installing it by accident, make sure to uninstall SearchPage.com as soon as possible.

What does SearchPage.com do

Supposedly, if it worked, the SearchPage.com search engine would redirect you to weird websites in order to generate traffic on them. But it does not do that. If you search for something on it, it will give you no search results. That kinda makes a search engine useless. That does not mean it won’t show you ads when you browse the Internet. Clicking on those ads could be dangerous so we suggest you remove SearchPage.com. It might also insert tracking cookies into your browser and use them to gather information about your browsing habits. The fact that the search engine does not work does not mean the cookies won’t either. It really does not benefit you in any way, so we think you should delete SearchPage.com.
