Remove Tabs to Windows

About this infection

Tabs to Windows is a questionable Google Chrome extension, thought to be adware. It’s advertised as a useful extension that allows you to split tabs into separate windows. This does seem like a useful feature but not a this cost. The extension will generate loads of adverts and bombard your screen with them so that it could generate pay-per-click revenue.

Making money is the main objective or this adware. If you do not recall ever installing it, it could have been added to freeware as an extra offer, and you missed it. Thankfully, it’s not exactly a serious infection. If you delete Tabs to Windows right away, you should be able to avoid all unpleasant outcomes. If you don’t, however, you may encounter something much more serious than an adware.

Why remove Tabs to Windows?

As soon as the extension installs, instead of providing the features it promised, it will generate adverts for you. They will appear all the time, no matter where you browse so you won’t be able to avoid them so easily. We don’t recommend running away from the problem by just switching to another browser because the adware will still remain installed. Eventually, you will have to uninstall Tabs to Windows, and we suggest you do it as soon as possible. Until you do, refrain from engaging with any of the ads because not all of them will be safe. Some will lead to questionable sites as all adware cares about is making money. The longer the adware remains installed, the more personalized the advertisements will become as information about you is collected to make ads that you would be tempted to click on. There are more reliable extensions offering the same functions out there so using this one is highly not recommended. You should delete Tabs to Windows.

The adware could have been installed by you accidentally. Or you could have willingly installed it. In the case of the former, you need to be more attentive about how you install free programs. Adware and hijackers are added to free software as extra offers, and to avoid their installation, you need to deselect them. This can be done in Advanced or Custom settings. Choose those settings when you install freeware, and you will be able to see whether something has been added. If you see something, make sure you deselect it. Do not leave any boxes ticked because those items do not belong on your system. You could have also willingly installed it, but whatever the case may be, remove Tabs to Windows.
