Torch Browser Removal Instructions

Torch Browser is an Internet browser based on the Chromium engine. The application has media downloading and sharing capabilities. It allows users to share photos, videos, audio files, sites and even search results on their social networking pages like Facebook and Twitter.

The software can be downloaded from its official page at torchbrowser.com, however, it also gets distributed via freeware and shareware bundles. That is the main reason why it is classified as potentially unwanted. If you notice any unusual symptoms after its installation, you should delete Torch Browser from your PC.

How does Torch Browser work?

As it has already been mentioned, the application uses a deceptive distribution method called bundling. This means that in most cases computer users agree to its installation unwittingly. Torch Browser is presented as an additional offer during freeware installation and if you do not decline this offer, the application gets installed automatically. You should avoid similar applications in the future. To do that you have to be especially attentive during the process of freeware installation. Always pick Advanced or Custom installation mode and decline all optional offers.

Torch Browser appears to be very similar to Google Chrome. After you install it, the program sets itself as your default Internet browser. When using it you will have to search the Web with Ask search engine. Although this engine is not untrustworthy, it will provide you with sponsored content. You may notice an increase in various adverts on other pages as well. The official site of the application states that it can provide you with such useful features as Media Grabber, Torch Torrent, Torch Player, Torch Music, Torch Games and Torch Facelift. That may be the case, however, if you have acquired the program through third party software, it would be best to terminate Torch Browser.

How to remove Torch Browser?

There are two ways you can go about Torch Browser removal. You can uninstall Torch Browser manually or automatically. Since the software appears on your installed programs list, manual removal should not be too complicated. However, you should know that it does not guarantee that you will eliminate Torch Browser completely. The only way to be sure of that is to delete Torch Browser automatically. Download and install the anti-malware tool provided on our webpage and use it to scan your PC. Once you do, you will be able to remove Torch Browser and other threats detected by the utility.
