Search.Chunckapp.com Removal

What is search.chunckapp.com?

search.chunckapp.com is a dubious search engine and a browser hijacker. It can enter your compute via free software bundles and once it is in, it will make unwanted changes to your browser and attempt to redirect you to sponsored websites. When it suddenly appears on your browser, you might think that your computer has been infected by a malicious computer virus but that is not the case.

You merely have a browser hijacker on your computer. It aims to generate pay-per-click revenue for sponsored websites and will use you to do so. However, it will not harm your computer by itself. It should be noted that while not necessarily always the case, browser hijackers can lead users to malicious websites where you could infect your computer with malware if you are not careful. As soon as you notice this hijacker, you need to delete search.chunckapp.com.

Why uninstall search.chunckapp.com?

Browser hijackers cannot enter your computer by themselves and need your permission to do so. Essentially, they are attached to free software and that allows them to install alongside it. So when you install free software and it has a browser hijacker bundled with it, you need to deselect the hijacker to prevent it from installing. You can do so in Advanced or Custom setting of the installation process. Just uncheck the boxes and that will enough. Choosing Default settings is like giving the added items the permission to install. Do not use them because you will end up having to remove search.chunckapp.com and similar.

search.chunckapp.com will hijack all your browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. You will find that it has set itself as your homepage and new tabs. The changes are made without your permission and cannot be undone unless you first delete search.chunckapp.com from your computer. If you are a user of Google, at first you might confuse search.chunckapp.com with the reliable search engine. But as soon as you type in a search query, it will become clear that search.chunckapp.com is no Google. You will get results generated by an untrustworthy search engine. Sponsored results leading to weird websites might be included in the results and all that because the hijacker wants to make income from pay-per-click revenue. You might even end up on a dangerous website and pick up malware while you are there. So while browser hijackers are not particularly dangerous, they could still expose you to malware. We suggest you uninstall search.chunckapp.com
