What is MPC Cleaner?

MPC Virus, also known as MPC Cleaner, is not a real computer virus, even though some users may refer to it as one. It is actually classified as a potentially unwanted application. The utility has an official page, where it is stated that MPC Cleaner can cleanup junk files, eliminate online traces, protect your browsers from being hijacked, speedup your computer performance, and more. The software can be downloaded from its official page. However, if you have security tools installed on your PC, you may be warned not to acquire the program, because of its reputation. We advise that you delete MPC Virus, especially if you did not download it yourself.

How does MPC Cleaner work?

You may be wondering how is it possible that the unwanted application got installed onto your computer without you downloading it from its official page. The answer to that is simple: the program uses the bundling distribution method, which allows it to enter your computer unnoticed. When you download apps from third party software hosting pages like findmysoft.com, download.com, soft32.com, filewin.com, and similar, you usually get presented with additional offers. These offers can be declined, however, if you do not pay attention to the installation wizard, you agree to them unwittingly. Make sure not to do that again. Always choose the Advanced installation mode and deselect all unwanted apps from the wizard.

Once installed, MPC Cleaner starts a scan that shows you junk files and empty registries. You can clean these unnecessary components, however, none of the other features described on the main page of the utility will be available to you until you purchase its full version. Moreover, the application is also known to alter your browser settings. It can replace your home page and default search provider with Search.mpc.am. If you want to reset your web browsers, you will have to terminate MPC Virus as well.

How to remove MPC Cleaner?

In order to erase MPC Virus from your computer, you will have to choose between two possible options: manual or automatic removal. If you choose the first option, you will have to uninstall MPC Virus via Control Panel and fix your browser settings. Instructions on how to complete these tasks are presented below the article. If, however,  you want to make sure that you not only eliminate MPC Virus, but also delete other unwanted programs from your PC, you should go with automatic removal instead. You can download the anti-malware tool from our page and use it to scan your system. The utility will detect all potential threats and remove MPC Virus along with them. It will also help you keep your computer protected from future online infections as long it stays installed and updated.
