Why you need to remove Netfindersearch.com

About this threat

Netfindersearch.com is a highly dubious website, promoted by a browser hijacker. Browser hijackers are not serious infections but they are annoying to deal with. If you do find one on your computer, it has already changed your browser’s settings and now a weird site is loading instead of your usual homepage.

The only good thing about these infections is that they are very obvious. That means that you can get rid of it right away. We do not recommend putting up with the infection as it will bring nothing good. The hijacker will try to redirect you to sponsored sites and worst case scenario, you will be led to a site that has malware on it. This could result in a serious infection so be careful. Ensure that you delete Netfindersearch.com. You should also read the next paragraph carefully and learn how to prevent these kinds of infections in the future because you installed the hijacker yourself.

How do hijackers manage to infect systems?

When users are not attentive enough during freeware installation, they end up granting entrance for hijackers. They are attached to freeware as additional items and to prevent their installation, users need to deselect them. This is done in Advanced or Custom settings of the installation process. Extra offers will become visible there and you will be allowed to deselect everything. Ensure that you uncheck every box that appears there so that no unwanted programs can get past. It would be harder to remove Netfindersearch.com than it would be to uncheck a couple of boxes so bear that in mind if you usually rush.

Why uninstall Netfindersearch.com?

As is usual for browser hijackers, this one changes your browser’s settings and sets its domain as your homepage so that you could be redirected. These changes affect all leading browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox and are irreversible unless you first delete Netfindersearch.com. Which you will want to do anyway because who likes to get redirected to weird websites. Your new homepage will have a search engine on it and nothing else. A major sign that it’s not trustworthy is the absence of Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. When those two things are absent from a page, do not use it. The search engine will lead you to plusnetwork.com where you might encounter all kinds of sponsored content. Be careful of those results as you could even be led to malicious sites with malware on them. This could result in a serious infection. Thus, remove Netfindersearch.com.

Netfindersearch.com removal

If you choose to uninstall Netfindersearch.com, there are two ways to do it. The easiest would be to use anti-spyware software and have it erase the hijacker for you. Those programs are designed for that purpose. If you go with manual Netfindersearch.com removal, you will need to find the hijacker yourself but it’s fully possible.
