What is .Code File Virus?
.Code File Virus, also known as CryptoMix, is a ransomware type of virus that can cause severe damage. When a ransomware virus gets on your compute, it encrypts your files and then demand money if you want to restore those files. .Code File Virus acts the same. How does .Code File Virus act?
You can infect your computer with .Code File Virus in many ways. You can download a fake software update that actually contains the ransomware, or you could download it if you are using Torrents. The hackers will try to sell you the decryption key for 5 Bitcoins, which, at the time of writing, equals to more than $3600. They ask that you email them to receive instructions on how to proceed. We think you should neither contact them, nor pay them. $3600 is obviously a big amount of money and do you really want to pay people who may not even send you the decryption key?
