About this threat
Globallysearch.com is a browser hijacker, promoting a dubious search engine. It is one of those low-level infections that changes your browser’s settings without permission and forces you to use questionable search engines. Browser hijackers are not malicious themselves but they are annoying. You will be constantly redirected to weird sites and not to mention it could lead you to malware.
Hijackers do not care whether the sites you end up on are safe, so be careful. And you also need to be more vigilant when you install free software because the hijacker was attached to something that you installed yourself. Which means that you allowed the hijacker entrance yourself, albeit unknowingly. We suggest you take of the hijacker as soon as you notice it because ignoring the problem could have serious consequences. Remove Globallysearch.com.
How does a hijacker infect a computer?
Browser hijackers are attached to free software as extra offers but you may have already known that. It is not exactly a secret that unwanted programs do that. In order to prevent unwanted installations when setting up freeware, choose Advanced or Custom settings. Those settings will show you everything that has been attached and you will be given the option of deselecting all. Make sure you uncheck all the boxes because otherwise you will end up with all kinds of weird programs on your computer. Unless you like having to delete Globallysearch.com and similar over and over again, take our Advice seriously.
Why uninstall Globallysearch.com?
The hijacker will affect all leading browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, so it does not matter which browser you use. It will set itself as your homepage, new tabs and search engine without permission and not allow you to change it back. This clearly calls for Globallysearch.com removal. It’s very easy to notice the infection because your new homepage looks quite different from any legitimate search engine websites. There will only be a search bar and if you were to use it, you’d be taken to nova.rambler.ru, which is a dubious search engine to say the least. If you search for something, whether it’s via browser address bar or through search box, you may get sponsored sites as results. There will also be ads on the side. We do not recommend pressing on any ads or sponsored websites because nothing good will come of it. You will end up on weird sites because the hijacker wants to generate traffic for them. And you gain nothing from this, except possibly malware. You could be redirected to a malicious site and some malware could enter your computer. This is why you need to remove Globallysearch.com.
You have two ways to delete Globallysearch.com. There is the manual and the automatic methods. We would suggest going with the latter option because the program would do everything for you. If you choose to uninstall Globallysearch.com manually, you will have to do everything yourself.
