nutaka.com is a dubious search engine and can be considered to be a browser hijacker. It can infect your computer when you install freeware and you would not notice it entering your computer. It can alter certain browser’s settings and prevent your from changing them back. While it does have plenty of suspicious features, nutaka.com is not a computer virus and should not directly harm your computer. Uninstall nutaka.com to be sure that you are not putting your computer in danger.
How did I get infected with nutaka.com?
Browser hijackers, adware and other unwanted items are attached to freeware. It’s called the bundling method and is quite popular among developers because users are unaware of how to protect their computer from unwanted items. Added items install automatically if you choose to use Default settings. Those settings do not list you added items and you automatically give them permission to install. If you want to avoid such situations, use Advanced or Custom settings. Those settings will allow you to see and deselect items you do not want. It does not take any additional time and actually saves you the trouble of having to delete nutaka.com or other unwanted items.
Why should I remove nutaka.com?
It makes unwanted changes to your browser. And it can do that to all leading browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Safari. You will notice that your homepage, new tabs and search engine have been changed to nutaka.com. Most browser hijackers do not allow you to change the settings back so if this hijacker is the same, you will need to delete nutaka.com first and only then manually change the settings. You might also notice that your browser blocks access to nutaka.com, saying that it could harm your computer. This is a big red flag. The search engine might insert sponsored websites into the search results and redirect you to unrelated websites. Some of those websites could also be dangerous and you could end up with malware on your computer. Browser hijackers are also known to monitor your browsing activities and gather certain kinds of information about users, such as IP addresses or web sites visited. That information is then sold to third-parties or used to generate ads. It could be exposing your computer to danger so remove nutaka.com as soon as possible.
