About this threat
Peletle.com is one of those questionable websites promoted by browser hijackers. If a hijacker infection is indeed present on your computer, the website will load every time your open your browser. That can be very annoying because you do not have a choice in this matter. It should be noted that hijackers are not malicious.
They are very annoying but they are not dangerous by themselves. They can bring about trouble, however. Some of those redirects could lead to malware-ridden pages and you could be exposed to malicious software. If you are not careful, you could end up with some serious malware on your computer. This is why would strongly recommend you delete Peletle.com. And ensure that you correctly install freeware from now on, so that hijackers or other kinds of threats do not enter without authorization.
How do hijacker spread?
Users end up installing hijackers, as well as other threats, themselves. Those threats are added as extra offers to freeware but are not made visible at first. Unless users use Advanced or Custom settings, those items will go unnoticed. Which is why you need to use those settings, instead of Default or Basic. Only in Advanced will you be able to deselect all extra offers so always go for those settings. It’s either that or simply do not install free programs you get from dubious websites.
Why uninstall Peletle.com?
While hijackers are not malicious, they do not belong on computers. They change your browser’s settings, essentially force you to use a dubious search engine and possibly redirect you to dubious sites. The changes made to your browser? They are done without permission. And even more annoyingly, they affect all leading browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. After those changes are performed, you will not be able to undo them. Thus, until you remove Peletle.com, you will be stuck with a weird page as your homepage. The hijacker will encourage you to use a dubious search engine because it aims to generate income by redirecting you. Inserting sponsored results among the legitimate ones in the search results is the easiest way to redirect you. And you click on the links yourself. While most of those redirects will be pretty harmless, some hijackers could lead users to malicious sites where malware could be lurking. This is the main reason why you need to delete Peletle.com.
When it comes to browser hijackers, there are two ways to get rid of them. If you go with manual Peletle.com removal, you will have to find the hijacker yourself. While fully possible, hijackers could be hiding, so the process could be time consuming. If you are struggling, we would recommend you use anti-spyware software. The program would find and uninstall Peletle.com without you having to do anything. And make sure you remove Peletle.com fully so that it cannot renew itself again.
