What is aMuleC

aMuleC is a potentially unwanted application (PUP) that poses as a tool to archive files but in reality is adware. Both Windows and Mac users can be effected by aMuleC. Most users who have encountered aMuleC don’t recall downloading it, which means that aMuleC can get on your computer without you knowing it. aMuleC malware can achieve that by attaching itself to software distributed on the Internet.

When users download and install the software without paying attention to the process, they might end up with aMuleC or other potentially dangerous items. If you find it on your computer, we recommend you uninstall aMuleC as soon as it makes its appearance. It also has an official page but if you try to access it, you browser won’t let you, saying that entering the website could be dangerous. That is the most obvious sign that aMuleC is not safe and not something you want on your computer. We suggest you remove aMuleC and not put your computer in danger by using it.

How did I end up with aMuleC

Reportedly, there are two way to get aMuleC. Since it has an official page, you can download aMuleC from there. It can also infect your computer silently. A lot of free software that you can download from the Internet might include additional items that you may not want to have on your computer. When you install something and use Default settings, you might miss those additional items. In order to avoid that, make sure to use Advanced (Custom) settings to see and uncheck items you don’t want installed. Using those settings is recommended at all times. aMuleC removal is not difficult but if you continue to carelessly install programs, you might end up with something that could be tricky to delete.

What does aMuleC do

Since aMuleC is adware, you can expect huge amounts of ads if you choose to use aMuleC. Ads can come in various types, such as pop-up ads, banners, slide-in ads, etc. aMuleC is not very malicious by itself but the reason it could be harmful to your computer is because  it exposes you to dangerous domains. Ads that aMuleC shows you might not always come from reliable sources and when you click on one of those ads, you might get redirected to a malicious website and unknowingly download a virus. Then, adware will be the least of your problems. If you want to avoid that, remove aMuleC from your computer.

How to delete aMuleC

We advise you to uninstall aMuleC as there are better aMuleC alternatives that can do the same thing and not put your computer in danger.
