Boxworld.org Removal Guide (Remove Boxworld.org)
Boxworld.org is a malicious domain that appears in your browsers every time you open them. It may be set as your home page or pop-up on your screen every time you open a new tab. Either way, you should know that you cannot trust the information provided on it.
The fake message may claim that your PC has been infected with a virus or some other threat and offer to call a help line. We assure that this is nothing but a scam. Its main purpose is to trick you into wasting your money on a non-existent issue. You should terminate Boxworld.org as soon as you can.
How does Boxworld.org work?
The reason you see Boxworld.org in your browsers is because you have an ad-supported or a potentially unwanted program installed on your computer. This program has most likely entered your system through a freeware or a shareware bundle. Ad-supported applications usually spread with the help of the bundling method, because it is the easiest way for them to enter your computer without your notice. Once they do, they start flooding you with various advertisements. Some of these ads are legitimate, some are not. It may be difficult to distinguish between the two, which is why it would be best to delete Boxworld.org from your PC before it causes any serious harm.
One of the fake ads that you see because of the ad-supported software is Boxworld.org. This fake alert claims that you have a potentially malicious virus on your computer and that your personal financial information is not safe. The site also suggests that you can call a supposedly toll free number and contact the certified technicians that will help you with your problem. Needless to say, none of that is true. If you call the unreliable number, you will waste your time and money. The “technicians” will claim that your computer is in serious trouble and that in order to fix it, you need to purchase software from them. That is all they want: to make easy money off of unsuspecting computer users. Do not fall for this trick and uninstall Boxworld.org right away.
