About this infection
It’s not actually present on your computer, and will operate only while you are visiting the site, so you will not need to delete Brocoiner. In-browser crypto miners are becoming more common because it’s a great way for people to earn money. However, in a lot of cases, users are not informed about their computers helping someone make money, so the practice is rather frowned upon. Cyber crooks especially like to make money this way. When you are visiting a website that loads the miner, you will experience a noticeable slowdown in your computer. This is due to the miner using your computers resources to mine. Your anti-malware will detect this code and suggest to remove it, but after you do, the warning might appear again if you continue to browse the website.
What does it do?
When you enter a site hosting the miner, you might not notice right away. However after a while, you will realize that your computer is acting much slower. Programs will load much slower, your Internet will be laggy and your browser might start crashing. If you are using a laptop, it might start heating up. If you check your Task Manager, you will see a process using more than 70% of your CPU, which is why your computer is acting slow. Not only will your system’s performance suffer, your CPU is not meant to run at such high temperatures for a long period of time. Extended mining could lead to a shorter CPU lifespan. As soon as you notice the weird activity, you should make sure to close the site. Someone is mining for cryptocurrency using your computer, and you get nothing for it.
There is no need to remove Brocoiner as it’s not actually on your computer. If your anti-malware detects it, allow it to uninstall Brocoiner and don’t visit the site that loaded the code in the first place. If you do, your security program will continue detecting the code over and over again.
