CryptXXX 3.0 Removal Guide

CryptXXX 3.0 is a ransomware infection that can infiltrate your system and corrupt your files. The main distribution methods used by the harmful software include fake adverts, spam emails, corrupted links, malign bundles, and others. As soon as it enters your computer, it starts encrypting your data.

The encrypted files cannot be accessed by you, which is practically the same as losing them altogether. The malware creators claim that they can help you recover your files for a certain price. You should not waste your money. We advise that you delete CryptXXX 3.0 right away.

How does CryptXXX 3.0 work?

The file-encrypting malware scans your system for data files as soon as it gets installed. It uses the RSA-2048 encryption algorithm to corrupt your photos, documents, videos, databases, and other relevant data. All encoded files have the .crypt extension, so it easy to recognize them. After the encryption process is finished, the threat creates the following files: de_crypt_readme.bmp, de_crypt_readme.txt, and de_crypt_readme.html. These files contain instructions that come from the hackers.

The ransom note states that your files have been encrypted and that the only way to get them back is by purchasing a decryption key, which was created specially for your computer during the encryption process. The sum of the so-called ransom may differ, however, it is usually 1.2 Bitcoin (about $640 at the moment). There is no need for you to make this payment, because there is a way to decrypt your files for free. Kaspersky Labs have created a file decryptor, which can restore your data. It is called RannohDecryptor. If you download and implement it, you will be able to restore your data without much difficulty. If for some reason the utility does not bring the desired results, you can try other free decryptors available online. Keep in mind, however, that you also need to eliminate CryptXXX 3.0 from your computer.

How to remove CryptXXX 3.0?

Although restoring your files is probably your top priority, you also need to make sure that you delete CryptXXX 3.0 for good. You can uninstall CryptXXX 3.0 from your system by using a malware removal and prevention utility. It will scan your computer and detect all malign files and programs. You will not only remove CryptXXX 3.0, but you will also terminate other threats present on your PC. In addition to CryptXXX 3.0 removal, the security software will also allow you to make sure that your computer stays safeguarded from other Internet infections by providing you with real-time online protection and other beneficial features.
