What are JobSpun Ads?
If JobSpun Ads are flooding your browsers, it means that you have an ad-supported program installed on your PC. JobSpun belongs to Informer Technologies, Inc. and is promoted as a tool that can help you look for a job online. However, that is not what it was created for. The goal of the application is to flood you with all kinds of ads. It employs pay-per-click system, so every time you click on the adverts, the developers of the software make profit. There is no reason for you to keep this application in your system. We advise that you delete JobSpun Ads right away.
How does JobSpun work?
JobSpun is very similar to a yet another adware developed by Informer Technologies called BlingJobs. Although both of these programs are advertised as apps that can help you look for a job and save money while shopping online, all they really focus on is generating web traffic. The unwanted software inserts advertisements into all pages that you open and it affects all browsers. The ads that it shows you are not endorsed by it. They could be fake and clicking on them could result in you landing on unsafe pages and infecting your PC. If you want to make sure that that does not happen, you should terminate JobSpun Ads without hesitation.
The reason you may not remember installing the ad-supported program is because it travels in free software bundles. The app is presented as an additional offer in the installation wizard and if you fail to decline this offer, it gets installed automatically. It is possible that you did not notice this offer at all. If you want to avoid similar programs in the future, you should pay more attention to the installation wizard and deselect all components that are not essential for the setup to be complete. That is the only way to avoid adware and other potentially unwanted programs.
