What are Own Dates Ads?
Own Dates Ads are intrusive advertisements that appear in your browsers, because of the ad-supported program that you have got installed. Own Dates is an adware application that is aimed at generating online traffic by exposing you to commercial data. It works on all browsers, so switching to a different one will not resolve your problem. The adverts will pop-up on all sites that you visit regardless of the content of those sites. They will decrease your online surfing speed and cause other issues. The only way to get rid of Own Dates Ads is by uninstalling the ad-supported software that makes them appear on your screen.
How does Own Dates work?
Own Dates gets distributed in freeware and shareware bundles. That is why you may not remember installing it at all. Ad-supported and potentially unwanted programs use the bundling method in order to enter the system without getting noticed by computer users. This tactic is not completely fair, however, if you pay attention to every step of the installation wizard, you will be able to avoid the unnecessary apps and only install the software that you actually need. Make sure that next time you install freeware, you choose the Advanced mode and decline all additional offers of unfamiliar programs.
The main symptom of the infection is the never-ending advertisements that appear on your visited websites. These ads cannot be trusted. Some of them are fake and they could expose you to various scams. The adware does not check or endorse the data that it shows you. This means that it holds no responsibility for it. If you click on the fake ads and end up infecting your PC with malicious programs or suffering financial losses, you will not be able to blame anyone but yourself. That is why we urge you not to interact with any of the commercial data until you eliminate Own Dates Ads from your browsers.
