About this threat
Search.mytab.club is a browser hijacker, very similar to many other ones. Hijackers are not malicious threats, they are more annoying than anything. If you have one on your computer, you will see changes made to your browser and an unfamiliar website loading every time. While hijackers are not malicious themselves, they can redirect you to sponsored sites and those websites will not always be safe. Hijackers generate income by redirecting you so do not be surprised if it happens quite often. We do not recommend ignoring the problem because you could end up with some kind of malware on your computer. Delete Search.mytab.club. And make sure to read the following paragraph carefully so that you learn how to prevent these kinds of infections in the future.
How does a hijacker infect?
Browser hijackers, adware and other kinds of unwanted programs are not difficult to avoid but for whatever reason, many users end up with them. Those threats are attached to free software as additional items and they are set to install. If you want to prevent installations, make sure you deselect everything that has been added. This is done in Advanced or Custom settings. Those settings will allow you to see what has been added and also gives you the options of unchecking extra offers. Make sure you unmark all offers and you will not need to remove Search.mytab.club or similar again. Refrain from using Default settings because you will not see anything being attached.
Why uninstall Search.mytab.club?
We doubt you’d want to keep some dubious program that used questionable methods to infiltrate your system. The hijacker will make changes to your browser, set its domain as your homepage and new tabs, as well as change your default search engine. Usually, these changes affect all leading browsers, so whenever you open Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, you will be redirected to the homepage the hijacker set for you. The changes are irreversible unless you first delete Search.mytab.club. So until then, you are stuck with it. The presented website does not provide any useful features that would make it useful so why would you keep it. If you perform a search, whether it’s via browser address bar or the search box, you will be redirected to Aztec Media Yahoo where you might encounter sponsored content. The hijacker aims to redirect traffic for those sites, more traffic means more money. We should note that some of those websites should not be trusted and could actually lead you to serious trouble. Remove Search.mytab.club.
There are two ways to uninstall Search.mytab.club, and you should choose the one best suiting your abilities. You can perform manual Search.mytab.club removal but you’d need to find where the hijacker is hiding yourself. If you struggle, we suggest obtaining anti-spyware software and using it to get rid of the threat.
