About UNP Campaign Manager
UNP Campaign Manager (UNP.exe or UNPCampaignManager.exe) seems to be a Microsoft Windows file, particularly associated with Windows 10. It’s difficult to find any reliable information about this file, and people are undoubtedly confused when they stumble upon this file on their computers. However, despite some sites claiming that UNP (Universal Notification Platform) Campaign Manager is some kind of malware, it actually appears to be a legitimate Windows file.
It doesn’t seem to cause problems for users, and they are more curious about what it is after accidentally stumbling upon it. However, Microsoft hasn’t exactly explained what it is or what it does, despite numerous inquiries on Microsoft forums. But it does appear to be a file that belongs to Microsoft. If you want to make sure the file is legitimate, right-click on the file and check the Digital Signatures tab. It should clearly say “Microsoft Windows”. Some users have noticed the file appearing after certain updates as well.
Should you remove UNP Campaign Manager?
If you remove a legitimate Microsoft file, it could cause errors. However, you should keep in mind that malware could disguise itself as a legitimate Windows process or file. By pretending to be legitimate files, malware hopes to avoid detection/deletion, as without anti-virus software you’d unlikely notice. If you’re noticing any usual computer behaviour, we strongly recommend scanning your device with reliable anti-malware software. The legitimate UNP Campaign Manager should be located at C:WINDOWSSystem32UNP, and have “Microsoft Windows” written in the Digital Signatures tab.
If it’s not a virus and does not cause any problems, there should be no reason to remove UNP Campaign Manager.
