Is this a serious threat?

WalletBee Ads are appearing on your screen because you have adware installed. The program itself is advertised as a useful extension that will help users shop online as it displays various coupons or deals. It also shows you huge amounts of advertisements so that it could generate ad revenue. An adware infection is pretty noticeable because of all the advertisements filling your screen but you might not realize at fist as to what is causing them.

WalletBee AdsSome users might even confuse it with malware. The good news is that it’s not a malicious computer infection, as in it’s not going to harm your computer directly. However, it still might be able to expose you to dangerous content, which could lead to a more serious infection. We strongly suggest you delete WalletBee Ads as soon as possible. And make sure you are more attentive when you install free programs because that is how you got the adware.

Adware spread methods

Adware is attached to free software as an additional offer, and you need to deselect it. A lot of users do not do that simply because they do not see the added offers. They are unnoticeable if you use Default settings during freeware installation. What you need to pick is Advanced or Custom settings because only there will added offers become visible. If you notice something attached, simply uncheck the box(es). After you have done this, you can proceed to install the freeware. If you want to avoid having to remove WalletBee Ads or similar constantly, make sure you always deselect those extra offers.

What does it do?

The adware will start generating adverts as soon as it installs. They will appear on all popular browsers you have installed, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. The good thing about this is that you will notice the infection quickly, which means you will be able to uninstall WalletBee Ads immediately. Until you do, you should avoid engaging with any ads. Adware only aims to generate income from pay-per-click, it does not care whether it shows secure or dangerous ads. This makes it easy for you to click on a malicious advert, which could lead to a more serious infection. You might also notice that the ads become more relevant to you the longer the adware stays installed. That is because the adware collects information about your browsing habits and what you are interested in. The more customized the ad is, the more likely you are to click on it. Your computer might also slow down and your browser may crash more often. All of this is caused by the adware. If you delete WalletBee Ads, everything should go back to normal.
