What does Seek123.net do?
Seek123.net is definitely not an ordinary search tool. Instead, it is a browser hijacker that hijacks all browsers. In other words, a new homepage and search engine will be set on your browsers against your will. Using Seek123.net as a default search engine might be a dangerous activity because this search tool might cause redirections to bad websites. These websites are promoted on the search results page which is opened after entering a query in the search box. These ads will look like ordinary search results, but they will be placed under the title Sponsored results. This title is written in small letters, so not all the users understand that some of the search results they see are nothing more than commercial advertisements. Advertisements might cause harm to your PC, and it is definitely one of the reasons why you should go to uninstall Seek123.net, but, unfortunately, it is not the only one. According to malware experts, it is not advisable to keep Seek123.net set on browsers also because this search tool is capable of recording all kinds of information about users, even the personal information. Later on, this info might be sold and serious problems might arise. This will not happen if you remove Seek123.net as soon as possible.
How did Seek123.net enter my computer?
Browser hijackers secretly enter computers. They manage to do that because they travel in bundles with free applications. It should be enough to do that in order not to encounter another browser hijacker or a similar threat.
