Tw105.com Removal Guide (Uninstall Tw105.com)
Tw105.com is an intrusive browser hijacker that can make unwanted changes to your browser settings. It is not actually classified as a virus, so it will not harm your PC on its own. However, that does not mean that you should tolerate the disturbances that it causes.
The hijacker not only alters your settings, but also bombards you with ads and causes redirects. These actions could result in you landing on a malicious page. If you wish to improve your online safety level, you should remove Tw105.com without hesitation.
How does Tw105.com work?
The browser hijacker gets distributed in free software bundles. It usually arrives together with other potentially unwanted apps. It has been especially linked to FVP Image Viewer, however, it may arrive with other programs as well. When you install free software, you are presented with additional offers and if you want to avoid installing unnecessary applications, you have to decline these offers. In most cases, they are pre-selected, so you need to choose the Advanced installation mode and deselect all unfamiliar apps.
Tw105.com is practically identical to Ooxxsearch.com, Topsearchsite.net, Hohosearch.com, TopSearchLinks.net, and some other hijackers that are promoted as “leaders in search engine marketing and web traffic generation”. The website gets set as your home page and default search provider as soon as the hijacker takes over. It contains a search box, which reroutes you to Search.fvpimageviewer.com. These results contain various sponsored ads. You will see adverts on other sites that you visit as well. Keep in mind that these advertisements may be unreliable. They may present you with various scams aimed at infecting your computer with malware, extorting your money, and so on. If you wish to eliminate these ads from your browsers, you will have to terminate Tw105.com.
