About this process

LockApp.exe is a legitimate Windows process and is the default Lock Screen app. It’s a perfectly safe process to run so there is no need to worry. You might have noticed it running in Task Manager or seen the file in your SystemApps folder. It shouldn’t cause any problems and is unlikely to be the cause of errors, so there is no need to do anything about it. LockApp

While it is unlikely, we should mention that malware can sometimes disguise itself as a useful program. This is highly unlikely to happen but for situations like this, it is important to have anti-malware software installed. If malware was disguising itself as a legitimate Windows file, you would only know if you have anti-malware installed as symptoms of infection might not necessarily be noticeable.

Do you need to delete LockApp.exe?

There is absolutely no need to remove LockApp.exe or do anything about it. When you come across unfamiliar process, it not unusual to worry but we can assure you that it’s a legitimate Windows file. So if you notice it but it does not cause any problems, just leave it as is it. It should be found in the System Apps folder. If you find it somewhere else, you might not be dealing with the legitimate Windows file.
