What is task.vbs?
task.vbs is a VBS file that can be found on Windows computers. According to malware specialists, it is a safe file and is associated with Intel Software. However, you should be aware that malware developers like to disguise their created malware as something that should be on your computer, and in that way not cause alarm to users, allowing the malware to do what it’s designed to do.
The file can be found in C:\Program Files\Intel\SUR\WILLAMETTE\ESRV and the folder with the task.vbs file in it creates when you install Intel Driver Update Utility. If you uninstall it, the folder, along with the file, should disappear.
