About this adware

ArcadeLift is an adware program that would generate huge amounts of advertisements if installed. It promotes a website, arcadelift.com, that allows users to play various online games. It also exposes you to loads of advertisements. Adware is not exactly malicious, it’s more irritating than anything. The ads will slow down your computer and make your browser crash more often, which can be incredibly frustrating.

ArcadeLift ads

If you find yourself dealing with this, or any other adware, refrain from engaging with the ads because you could be led to malicious sites and end up with some kind of malware on your system. You installed the adware yourself, albeit unknowingly. It was attached to free software as an additional offer and you missed when installing the program. We suggest you remove ArcadeLift ads, and not only because you did not choose to install it.

Adware spread method

Like we mentioned above, adware is attached to freeware as an additional offer and you did not see it. When those attached offers go unnoticed, they install alongside the freeware. To avoid this, you need to access Advanced or Custom settings and deselect everything that has been added. Unchecking a few boxes takes less time and is much simpler compared to having to delete ArcadeLift ads.

How does it affect the system?

Adware generates advertisements and that is its main purpose. The more ads you engage with, the more pay-per-click income is made. Once this particular adware installs onto your system, you might be redirected to arcadelift.com and shown weird ads at random times and on all browsers (that includes Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox). Your first course of action might be to switch to another browser and ignore the problem but because the ads will appear regardless of which popular browser you use, you will not be able to do that. The only way to do that is to uninstall ArcadeLift ads causing adware. No matter what ads you see, we do not recommend engaging with them. Keep in mind that adware wants you to click on ads so it will try to make them as appealing as possible. You could be offered seemingly great deals but they could be fake. The ads might also become more personalized as time goes by as adware is known to collect certain information about users. Adware also does not care whether you are exposed to safe content. You could end up on a malicious site, which could lead to a serious malware infection. Just remove ArcadeLift ads and you can go back to normal browsing.

ArcadeLift ads removal

You have two options when it comes to ArcadeLift ads removal. You could use anti-malware software and that would be the quickest way because the security program would do everything for you. If you want to delete ArcadeLift ads yourself, you will have to find the adware yourself. Make sure you uninstall ArcadeLift ads causing adware fully because otherwise the ads could still appear.
