All you need to do, according to the scam, is fill in a survey that will supposedly help Walmart improve the quality of its services. The site also has a comments section where you can read fake testimonies of those who have supposedly received their prizes. The comments are all fake and are just means to make the scam seem more trustworthy.
The survey contains only 4 questions, and they are all very generic. After you answer these questions, you will be informed that you have won a prize. In order to receive it, you would be asked to provide your personal information. To be more specific, it will ask for your full name, home address, phone number, email address, etc. This is hot commodity information because it can be used in other, more sophisticated scams. The information could also be sold on various hacker forums to other cybercriminals. If you have given away your information to potentially malicious actors, there’s not much you can do besides be on guard for more sophisticated scams that may target you.
Similar giveaway scams sometimes also ask users to pay for the shipping of the item they have supposedly won. It’s usually small amounts of money, between $5-10. While it may not seem like much, if enough users fall for the scam, scammers could get a significant amount of money for a very basic scam.

Even if they were to do one, they would announce it via official channels, not through random ads on questionable websites.
