What is the Elara app?
Elara is a Dell app that controls your touchpad. Users using Dell laptops can occasionally encounter the issue of it preventing the computer from shutting down. “Elara App is preventing you from shutdown” is a common message users receive.
And because users may not be familiar with what it is, they may become concerned it’s some kind of malware. It’s not a virus, not malware and it’s not malicious, thus there is no need to be worried.
