What is Assasin Trojan?

Assasin Trojan is a dangerous Trojan that was first discovered back in 2002. Trojans are quite severe threats which should be eliminate right away because they can open a backdoor for other malware to enter, steal information, damage files, etc. They can operate silently in the background, without the user even noticing. This is why having anti-malware installed is necessary. Even if you don’t notice anything unusual, your anti-malware would. This particular Trojan has been discovered more than a decade ago, but still remains active. If your anti-malware picks up on this infection, you need to delete Assasin Trojan right away.

Trojans can get into a computer unnoticed in a variety of ways. You could have opened an email attachment that was infected, or may have downloaded something from unreliable websites.

How do Trojans spread?

Like most malware infections, Trojans can spread in many ways. One of the more common ones is via email attachments. Senders even pretend to be from legitimate companies to make users lower their guard. You may also accidentally download a Trojan when downloading something illegally, such as via Torrents. Downloading paid content via Torrents is not recommended because not only are you stealing income from creators, but you’re also risking infecting your computer with severe malware. Stick to legitimate download websites and don’t try to get paid content for free.

What does Assasin Trojan do?

The Trojan may work in the background unnoticed to you, and may perform a variety of malicious activity. It could disable your anti-malware software to avoid detection, try to install other malware, steal your personal information and spy on you. It could be tracking your activities, documenting all your logins, including those of your online bank account. It could be also tracking websites you visit, make screenshots, etc. Stealing your personal information is also not impossible.

Trojans are generally unnoticeable but there may be some signs. You may notice weird processes running in your Task Manager, errors appearing, ads everywhere or a slower computer. However, these could be signs of all kinds of infections, so you won’t know until you scan your computer with anti-malware. Do bear in mind that the Trojan may prevent security software from working, so you will have to boot your computer in Safe Mode and then launch a scan. If it does come up, remove Assasin Trojan.

Assasin Trojan removal

You will have to use anti-malware software to uninstall Assasin Trojan. If you don’t already have it installed, download it and scan your computer. If you are prevented from doing so, restart your computer and start pressing F8. When Advanced Boot Options appear, select Safe Mode with Networking. When your computer loads, open anti-malware software and launch a scan. It should now work properly. If this or any other threat is detected, get rid of it/them.

Remove Assasin Trojan from Windows 7/Windows Vista/Windows XP

1. Click on Start and select Shutdown.
2. Choose Restart and click OK.
3. Start tapping F8 when your PC starts loading.
4. Under Advanced Boot Options, choose Safe Mode with Networking.
5. Open your browser and download the anti-malware utility.

1. On the Windows login screen, press the Power button.

6. Type in rstrui.exe and press Enter.
7. Click Next in the new window and select the restore point prior to the infection.
8. Click Next again and click Yes to begin the system restore.

Delete Assasin Trojan from Windows 8/Windows 10

1. Click the Power button on the Windows login screen.
