What is K9-PCFixer
K9-PCFixer is a potentially unwanted program (PUP), advertised as a system optimization tool that will supposedly speed up the computer and improve its overall performance. However, while it may seem like a useful program on paper, it doesn’t actually do anything particularly useful. It also installs unnoticed via software bundling and may show fake scan results in order to encourage you to buy the full version of the program. This is a very common tactic used by many similar PUPs. 
The program promises to keep your computer running like new, faster performance, and increased startup speed if you upgrade to the full version. However, paying for it would be a waste of money because the program doesn’t actually do anything. It certainly won’t improve your computer’s performance. In general, system optimizers are rarely effective. Some may actually cause harm as well, especially ones that have a registry cleaning feature. K9-PCFixer has this feature, which is one of the reason why you shouldn’t be using it. Registry cleaning tools can accidentally delete necessary registry entries, which could cause serious damage.
Since it’s not a useful program to have, you should delete K9-PCFixer, especially if you did not install it knowingly. Plenty of anti-virus programs detect K9-PCFixer as a potential threat so you have options if you want to get rid of the program automatically.
Program like K9-PCFixer usually install via freeware bundling

To make them visible, you need to opt for Advanced (Custom) settings when installing programs. Unlike Default, Advanced settings will allow you to deselect everything. Once you have unchecked the boxes of those offers, you can continue installing the program.
Should you uninstall K9-PCFixer?
As soon as the program installs, it will start showing you notifications about you needing to scan your computer. K9-PCFixer appears to be primarily a registry cleaner, as most of its offered features focus on that. It promises to improve your computer’s performance by cleaning the registry. However, old/unnecessary entries in the registry don’t actually have significant effect on the computer. And programs like K9-PCFixer messing with the registry could have unwanted consequences. Microsoft has explicitly advised against using programs that have a registry cleaning feature because it could irreversibly damage the system. Deleting the wrong entry could result in you needing to reinstall your Windows.
K9-PCFixer is not a free program. You can scan the computer for issues using the free version, but if you want to fix the supposed issues that have been detected, you will need to upgrade to the full version. It’s not very clear how much the program costs but whatever it is, paying would be a waste of money. The program doesn’t actually do anything useful, and it’s likely showing fake scan results (or at least greatly exaggerating them) to pressure you into buying the program’s full version. As we said above, this is a very common tactic used to stress users. It’s not just results shown by K9-PCFixer that you should be skeptical of, it’s all similar programs. Especially ones that detect hundreds of issues on your computer.

Step 1. Uninstall K9-PCFixer and related programs.
Remove K9-PCFixer from Windows 8
Right-click in the lower left corner of the screen. Once Quick Access Menu shows up, select Control Panel choose Programs and Features and select to Uninstall a software.
Uninstall K9-PCFixer from Windows 7
Click Start → Control Panel → Programs and Features → Uninstall a program.
Delete K9-PCFixer from Windows XP
Click Start → Settings → Control Panel. Locate and click → Add or Remove Programs.
Remove K9-PCFixer from Mac OS X
Click Go button at the top left of the screen and select Applications. Select applications folder and look for K9-PCFixer or any other suspicious software. Now right click on every of such entries and select Move to Trash, then right click the Trash icon and select Empty Trash.
