If you decide to keep it, it won’t work properly until you buy the full version, and you can probably find similar programs for free, thus paying would be a waste of money. System optimization tools are debatable in any case, many argue that users have no need for them, as they don’t really do anything. We doubt you wish to keep it, so delete PCOptiClean. And be more careful about how you install programs because this PUP could have installed together with some freeware that you installed.

Why uninstall PCOptiClean?

The PUP is available for download on the official website but if you don’t remember installing it, it could have been added to freeware as an extra offer. If that is indeed the case, you need to pay more attention to how you install programs. Always read all the information provided and choose Advanced or Custom settings. If they show you the added offers, deselect everything. It’s doubtful you would want any of them installed, so in order to not have to remove PCOptiClean or similar later on, deselect everything.

Once this PUP installs, it will scan your computer for supposed issues, and then report back to you about them. There will definitely be something, and while the PUP might not make them up, it could make minor issues seem very serious, which would pressure you into fixing them. If you want to use the program to fix those issues, you will be asked to buy the full version, which is currently $29.97 for Premium, and 13.97 for Premium Pro (this seems to be a discount price, as the Pro version is $74.73 without it). You might be tempted to buy one of the premium versions but carefully consider whether you actually need them. There are plenty of these kinds of PUP which try to intimidate users into buying full versions of programs, but once the users does buy it, they might realize that it was unnecessary. You can find system optimizers doing the same thing for free, so consider those options before you make a purchase. And if you decide not to buy it, delete PCOptiClean.
