What is Sagent.exe?

As the .exe extension suggests, Sagent.exe is an executable file. Luckily, its presence on your computer does not necessarily mean that you are infected with serious malware and need to take action as soon as possible. Originally, Sagent.exe belongs to software called SAgent developed by Delphi. In this case, you do not need to do anything about that because it will not cause you any harm.

Unfortunately, malware experts have also revealed that Sagent.exe might belong to spyware called TinySpyAgent. It is usually located in the folder TinyStone placed in %PROGRAMFILES%. If it turns out that Sagent.exe is associated with this malicious application, you must delete Sagent.exe as soon as possible without hesitation. It is very likely that it is only one of several files this infection has – they usually have tons of files placed in one folder or might place them in different corners of victims’ PCs, so we cannot promise you that you could easily delete this infection. Go to remove Sagent.exe and take other actions only when you are 100% sure that malware is the one responsible for its presence on your computer.

What does Sagent.exe do?

Sagent.exe is a component that helps a legitimate program or malware work properly. As mentioned in the first paragraph, you do not need to do anything if it belongs to software released by Delphi. On the other hand, i.e. if it is part of malware, the Sagent.exe removal must be implemented as soon as possible. You cannot keep malware, especially spyware, active on your computer because it will enable an unauthorized person to access your computer, secretly monitor your activities, and then record this information for further use. Spyware usually collects information about users so that their developers could later sell this recorded data expensively in the black market. Additionally, malware using Sagent.exe might even help other harmful threats to enter your PC without permission, so we recommend disabling it as soon as possible. You should first start the removal procedure by going to delete Sagent.exe – the file you have discovered on your PC.

Why did I find Sagent.exe on my computer?

The presence of Sagent.exe can mean only two things: 1) there is legitimate software installed on your PC (you might not know about its presence) or 2) you have spyware TinySpyAgent on your PC. Threats like spyware usually enter computers without permission and then work in the background, so many users do not know anything about their presence on their computers for a long time.

How do I uninstall Sagent.exe?

If you have proof that Sagent.exe is a component of malware, go to get rid of it as soon as possible. If the location of this file is known for you, we are sure that you could remove Sagent.exe easily by simply selecting it and pressing Delete; however, if you have no idea where it is located and know about its presence only because your security tool is continually showing pop-ups, you should employ an automatic tool for the automatic Sagent.exe removal. It will only need a few seconds to clean your computer.
